Indaro Compendium
How We Work

Editorial Standards

Indaro Compendium operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

01

Publication Classification

Indaro Compendium is an independent editorial publication focused on everyday nutrition practices and weight awareness. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.

The editorial output of this publication consists entirely of original articles written by named editorial staff. Content is selected based on published nutritional research and reviewed for editorial accuracy by a second editor before publication. All sources referenced in articles are identified in the text or as end-notes where applicable.

The publication does not accept sponsored content, native advertising, or product placements in any form. Writers are required to disclose, at the time of submission, any existing commercial relationship with brands, organisations, or individuals that could plausibly influence the selection, framing, or conclusion of the article under review.

Classification

Independent editorial publication. No commercial, governmental, or institutional affiliation.

Content Type

Original editorial articles on nutrition practices, weight awareness, and food choices. Not professional guidance.

Commercial Policy

No sponsored content, native advertising, or product placements accepted in any format.

02

Article Review Process

01

Source Identification

Writers identify published nutritional research, dietary studies, and independent editorial sources relevant to the article topic. All sources are logged at the time of writing.

02

Draft Preparation

The writer prepares a full draft and marks any passages that represent editorial interpretation rather than direct evidence, for transparency during the review stage.

03

Second-Editor Review

Every article is reviewed by a second editor before publication. The review focuses on factual accuracy, source appropriateness, and editorial framing — not house-style revision.

04

Publication and Correction

Articles are published with a clear date and named author. If a factual error is identified post-publication, a correction note is appended to the article and the date of correction recorded.

03

Source Verification Standards

Indaro Compendium uses a tiered source classification system. Tier 1 sources — peer-reviewed nutritional research, published dietary guidelines from independent health bodies, and longitudinal eating-pattern studies — are the primary basis for factual claims. Tier 2 sources — editorial nutritional writing, food journal datasets compiled by the publication itself, and population survey data — are used to support or illustrate observations when Tier 1 evidence is limited or absent.

No source is cited solely on the basis of commercial provenance. Brand-funded nutritional research, industry-sponsored dietary surveys, and product manufacturer health claims are not used as independent sources.

Where an observation in an article reflects the writer's interpretive assessment rather than direct source evidence, it is identified using phrases such as "the editorial team observes", "a nutritional writer reviewing this pattern would note", or equivalent clear markers that distinguish interpretation from evidence.

Content published by Indaro Compendium is selected based on published nutritional research and reviewed for editorial accuracy by a second editor before publication.

Accuracy and Corrections Policy

Indaro Compendium is committed to correcting errors when they are identified. If a factual inaccuracy is found in a published article — whether identified internally or brought to the editorial team's attention by a reader — a correction note is appended to the relevant article within five working days of the error being confirmed. The correction note identifies what was incorrect, what the correct information is, and the date the correction was made.

The original text is not silently amended. In all cases, the correction is visible and attributed, so that readers who accessed the article before the correction are aware of the change.

Readers who identify what they believe to be an error are invited to contact the editorial team at [email protected]. All correction requests are reviewed by both editors before a determination is made.

Health Content Notice

Articles published on Indaro Compendium are editorial in nature and reflect the writers' observations on everyday nutrition practices and weight awareness. The content is not intended as professional advice, nor as guidance for the management of any specific condition. Readers with specific concerns about their daily routines are encouraged to speak with a qualified wellness professional.

Professional Consultation

We recommend speaking with a qualified wellness or nutrition professional before introducing any new habit or routine to your daily life, particularly if you have specific dietary requirements.

05

Editorial Scope and Limitations

The editorial scope of Indaro Compendium is deliberately focused: everyday nutrition practices, weight awareness, seasonal and whole food approaches, active lifestyle and food balance, and the practical tools of mindful eating and food journalling. The publication does not extend its editorial coverage into areas requiring specialist qualifications that its writers do not hold — including sports performance nutrition at the competitive level, paediatric nutrition, allergy management, or any aspect of nutritional intervention for specific conditions.

This scope limitation is not a deficiency in the publication's ambition — it is a deliberate choice to maintain editorial integrity. The most significant risk in nutritional writing is over-generalisation: presenting observations from one population context as applicable to all readers, or presenting research findings from specialist settings as relevant to everyday practice. Indaro Compendium attempts to avoid both errors by staying within the boundaries of general everyday nutrition and flagging clearly when the topic under discussion is more specific.
